Welcome to Kenkō Foundation
At Kenkō Foundation, we understand that positive health outcomes can only be achieved within a certain social, economic and environmental conditions. This has prompted Kenkō Foundation to work in other areas that impact the health and wellness of vulnerable populations such as environmental protection to protect the local population from adverse health outcomes derived from pollution, sustainable farming techniques to help rural communities to raise income which is for the most part is a major barrier why they are unable to access health services.
The Story Behind Of Our Movement
Kenkō Foundation is community based Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Limbe, in the South West Region of Cameroon. It was founded in January 2013 and its mission is to promote community health wellness through different programmes designed to contribute to the improvement of health and wellness especially within vulnerable populations. At Kenkō Foundation, we understand that positive health outcomes can only be achieved within a certain social, economic and environmental conditions. Our Key Priorities
Our key priority is to promote community health wellness through different programmes designed to contribute to the improvement of health and wellness especially within vulnerable populations.
Health Promotion
Through our community health outreach programmes, we conduct free diagnosis for diseases such as high HIV/AIDS, high blood Pressure and blood sugar levels.
Poverty Alleviation
Kenkō Foundation is keen on alleviating poverty by educating rural communities on the need for mechanised agriculture, training the youth on low investment but high income yielding agricultural activities such as fish farming, beekeeping and the investment on high value agricultural crops.
Environmental Protection
We work closely with local populations to promote good practices to address water scarcity, desertification, floods and erosion. Pollution affects the livelihood of local population especially in fishing communities.
